Joe "Mama" Mason was one of Saint Louis Missouri's most popular DJs during the late '70's, 80's and early 90's. He started his career at KSLQ (98.1 FM), went to KCFM (93.7 FM), then KSHE-95 (94.7 FM) and KSD-FM (93.7 FM), although he is mostly remembered for his work at KSHE. He did some print modeling for Dillards, Joe Boxer, and other clients, then went into television and film, and became an on-camera reporter, host, and commercial talent (as an actor). He then focused his career on directing, which included work on Blue Man Group, Netflix's House of Cards, and commercial clients from AMC Theatres, Coca-Cola, Bud Light, and many more.
